Accommodation at the Thomas Shop

At the Thomas Shop, we provide a selection of accommodation options including Bed & Breakfast (B&B), Self Catering, and Respite for carers and their families.

Bed and Breakfast (B&B) and Guest House Accommodation at the Thomas Shop provides 3 star excellence with a sensitivity that reflects the period and history of this remarkable listed property. The house and facilities at the Thomas Shop are open to guests and evening meals are served, when requested, and when time and energy permits, ‘en famille’, unless you ask for more privacy. You will be provided with tea or coffee, with either, cake, or scones, on arrival. You will find tea, coffee are on a tray in your room.
Self-Catering or Bunkhouse accommodation at the Thomas Shop is in the uniquely atmospheric Meeting House (seen above) which has been designed for small groups or families. It has a small beautifully designed kitchenette ideally suited to self catering, and a fully equipped wet-room. The building opens onto our cobbled courtyard and is accessible and equipped for people who need ground floor accommodation. The first floor has two gothic windows and half cruk roof structure. Since its opening in August 2004 it this has proved to be very popular with Bed and Breakfast guests.
Respite at the Thomas Shop is a valued part of the service we provide. Certain weeks of the year have been set aside for Respite. A number of carers, people with different disabilities and families have joined us for up to 5 days respite. The benefits of respite have been quite remarkable and several people have described them as life changing experiences. We are already enjoying repeat visits from several families.
