New Season at the Thomas Shop:

Open every day from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The first week-end of the month is proving to be very exciting. This month it started on the Saturday with the inaugural session of the:

Clwb Clonc a Choffi (Coffee and Chat Club)

when 11 people under the guidance of Robert Bruce began to get to know each other in Welsh. Fernando, Simon and Sally came along on Sunday afternoon and played and sang songs from different traditions. Then on Moday morning we were almost at standing room only for the Penybont and District Local History Group who had a most enlightening and enjoyable talk on the Drovers in Radnorshire from Dr Colin Hughes.

Quiltese Whispers Exhibition was held at the Thomas Shop 30th September – 22nd October 2012

Take 12 women from different parts of the globe, most of them strangers to each other, ask them to design a unique centre piece that embodies a specific personal theme, get them to send this sometimes from Mid Wales to Singapore for each other member of the group to add a 4 inch border in sequence, lose sight of it for two years, never knowing what’s being done to it, just trusting it will come back.
