Are you looking for a workshop in a creative environment? Then you might be interested in a workshop within the Thomas Shop complex. The benefits of working within the Thomas Shop include: having a space that meets your needs; working alongside other creative people; access to the public who visit the Thomas Shop; access to markets alongside the Thomas Shop; sales through your workshop or in conjunction with the Thomas Shop.
Liz now occupies some of the spaces as she develops Gwawr From Wales a line of Welsh Dolls that track local history and the history of Welsh regional costumes. The dolls are made from materials sourced in Wales, and the fabrics are sourced from Welsh Mills still operating within Wales.
Over the years the Thomas Shop has supported a number of embyonic businesses, some of whom have gone on to develop in patures new:
Ten Green Bottles, now at New Radnor, started in the Drying Rooms. As a social Enterprise recycling green bottles as works of art they now have their own gallery and teaching space.
Dessert Orchid Designs, has occupied a number of different spaces at the Thomas Shop over the years but has recently moved to Shropshire where Bethan Billingsley continues to make beautiful bespoke corsetry.
Other businesses that we have supported include Inova, Red Kite Glass, Tonic T-shirts.
